Focus on South America: Global Industry and Competitive Analysis is a 9-day, graduate-level study abroad course in which participants travel overseas to examine and apply techniques of industry and competitive analysis in South America to gain a better understanding of industry trends and company strategies in sectors of significant importance to the regional economy. Participants will meet industry leaders in finance and technology, conduct site visits to multinational corporations, tour the region and enjoy exploring the cosmopolitan flair of Buenos Aires.

Program Focus

In combination with readings and research topics, this international study program will include approximately 10-15 visits to various firms and companies within the Argentine economy for face-to-face meetings with CEOs and other senior management to learn about the economic and financial landscape of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Students will visit firms representing various business sectors such as CitiGroup and HSBC (Banking), and IBM and SYSCO (IT). Based on the interests of the group, there will be the opportunity to customize the selection of firms to be visited.
