ONLINE STUDENTS -- As soon as you are able to register for courses, check with your GPD about what to register for. NEW ONLINE STUDENTS -- many of you will be taking COU 606 (Ethics) this summer online.  Please register for it asap.  Many of you will be coming to Dartmouth.  Write to your Online Program Coordinator for more information or feel free to write to Dan at cspadmissions@umb.edu or to Sharon Lamb, sharon.lamb@umb.edu who is Chair of the department.

OUR ON CAMPUS STUDENTS DO NOT NEED SPECIAL PERMISSION TO REGISTER FOR MOST COURSES.   If you need assistance, you can go to the One Stop on campus.  If there is an issue with your password or WISER account, contact the IT Service Desk at 617-287-5220 itservicedesk@umb.edu If you are not allowed to register, you may have a hold on your account and should contact the Bursar’s office.

Newly admitted students will be contacted by their Graduate Program Directors with regard to Summer and Fall courses.

For Fall courses, there is open enrollment.  If you see a course you want but don’t have the prerequisite, check with the Graduate Program Director (or Chair) to see if the prerequisite is absolutely necessary.

The department phone number is 617-287-7602.  Our new administrative assistant, Katie McMullin, may also be able to help you.

If you are having trouble registering, you can  1) check with the registrar's office to find out why; 2) take a short online training on how to use WISER; 3) email your Graduate Program Director or your Online Program Coordinator.

To Plan Ahead: Know that 614 is typically offered in the Fall and Summer; 615 is only offered in the Spring.

Check with your GPD with regard to what required courses in your program are not taught every semester.
