COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS

Core Courses

Coursework for the LIUS Program begins in the summer and consists of three summers and two-and-a-half academic years. Students must take sixteen core courses and three electives. Students typically take these courses on campus two evenings per week and one Saturday per month. In addition, they participate in a three-week, full-time summer institute during the first three summers.  The entire program consists of sixty-five credits of work beyond a master’s degree. Students who enter with graduate credits beyond the master’s level must complete all program components.
