Lauren Craig Redmond

After more than 20 years in professional theatre in New York City as a ballet-trained dancer, actress, voiceover and production manager, Lauren Craig Redmond was ready for a career change.

Lauren came to UMass Boston to finish a degree she began more than two decades earlier. She earned her B.A. in philosophy in 2000 and then graduated from Northeastern University School of Law.

In April 2006, Lauren and three other CLA alumni returned to campus for a symposium celebrating Chancellor Collins’ inauguration. She gave an entertaining and honest reflection of her career path and her time at UMass Boston.

Lauren is currently a partner of Redmond & Corbo, LLP, a Boston firm specializing in criminal defense with a concentration in drunk driving cases. She is a member of the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Women’s Bar Association.
