Kristina Beckman Ph.D in in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, University of Arizona. Areas of interest include sociolinguistics, forensic linguistics, rhetorical discourse, cultural norms in the classroom, and written/spoken proficiency assessment. Her book, An Immigrant’s Run-in with the Law: A Forensic Linguistic Analysis, was published in 2007 by LFB Scholarly Publishers. Dr. Beckman has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences. She has taught English as a Foreign Language in China and Japan, and looks forward to future summer teaching experiences abroad. |
