Jeremiah Cotton Associate Professor, at UMass Boston since 1985 I am currently working in collaboration with Professor James Stewart of Pennsylvania State University on a comparative study of the determinants of racial and ethnic economic differences in employment, income, weatlh and poverty in the United States, Brazil, Israel and South Africa. My monograph on the political and economic status of blacks in the United States continues to be my major ongoing research project.
