Course Sequence

It is recommended that a student planning to major in history take Western Civilization (History 111 and 112) in the freshman year, the United States survey (History 165 and 166) in the sophomore year, and the research and methods seminar in the junior year. History 111 should be taken before 112, and History 165 before 166.
