The German Major and Minor program has been suspended indefinitely. However, courses at the elementary and intermediate level along with some literature courses will be offered each semester.

 

Professor Carrara Knighted
     
knight   In June 2007, at a ceremony at the Italian Consulate of Boston, Professor Antonio Carrara, Chair of the Modern Languages Department, was awarded the Knighthood in the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity. The title is conferred by the President of the Italian Republic upon recommendation of the Minister for Foreign Affairs in recognition of contributions made to the field of Italian studies and culture.
