Robert Shope

My recent research has concentrated on epistemology, especially on clarifying the nature of knowing by employing the particular conception of representing that I presented in The Nature of Meaningfulness: Representing. I am working on a related book project and have presented a portion of my account in “Conditions and Analyses of Knowing” appearing in the Oxford Handbook. Other overview articles on concepts and conditions of knowing appeared in the Routledge Encyclopedia and in the Kluwer Handbook.
