"Remembering Rwanda 1994: Genocide and its Aftermath", a conference commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide of the Tutsi. Friday, April 17th, 2009, 9:30 a.m. until -3:00 p.m. in the Campus Center Alumni Room.

Special guests:  
James Kimonyo, Ambassador from Rwanda to the USA, Henry Theriault (Worcester State), co-editor in chief of The Journal of Genocide Studies and Prevention, and  Alexandre Dauge-Roth (Bates College).

Rwandan speakers include: Chantal Kayitesi, J.Bosoco Rutagengwa, Elisée Rutagambwa. With UMB Faculty Speakers: Winston Langley, Robert Weiner, Amani El-Jack, and Lynne Tirrell.
 
3:30-6:30: Film Screening: Boston Premiere: Behind This Convent
followed by discussion with the filmmaker, Gilbert Ndahayo
