Freshman Composition Program
The Freshman Composition Program at UMass Boston is designed to deepen students’ academic reading and writing capabilities in preparation for further study throughout the university. The program is comprised of three courses that focus on reading essays and writing analytically using source texts. The courses do not have a primary emphasis on literature or personal writing.
