Additional Information
Prof. Carlon¹s research focuses on the evolution of Roman social systems, particularly the redefinition of elite identity in the late Republic and early Empire. Her current project centers on semiotic shifts in the language of elite self-promotion. She is also interested in the application of Second Language Acquisition Theory to the the teaching of classical languages.
