The MSA is designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in the rapidly growing and changing field of Accounting. Upon completion of the MSA, the students will qualify for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Examination under the 150-hour requirement instituted by the Board of Accountancy of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2002. The curriculum has been designed by the College of Management Accounting and Finance (AF) faculty in consultation with the AF Department’s Advisory Board.
To receive the MSA, students must complete a total of (15) courses. These are composed of Business Core courses, Accounting Foundation courses, Accounting Capstone course, and Accounting electives. Students with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field can waive up to 24* credits from the required Business Core or Accounting Foundation courses.
For further information and applications contact the Graduate Programs Director at email@example.com or 617-287-7720.
* Students that waive more than 5 courses will be required to complete additional Graduate College of Management electives to meet the University requirement, 30 credit minimum.
