Profile
Adrienne Wald currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Nursing Program Director for the Traditional and Accelerated Nursing Baccalaureate Options at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Prior to her arrival at the CNHS, Professor Wald spent six years as Director of Wellness Education at the College of New Rochelle, as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing, and also in the St. Joseph Fisher College Executive Leadership Doctoral Program at the College of New Rochelle. Her background also includes over twenty-five years in management roles at the American Red Cross in New York, and in health care communication, medical education, and consulting firms. Professor Wald is responsible for efforts to support the Traditional and Accelerated undergraduate students and faculty by promoting collaborative, evidence-based educational approaches. Wald’s research focuses on health promoting behaviors in the college-age population. She recently contributed a chapter titled “Working Together: Collaboration, Coalition Building and Community Organizing” in Public Health Nursing: Practicing Population-Based Care. She also serves in leadership roles in the American College Health Association, serving on the Healthy Campus 2020 National Coalition as chair of the Assessment Subcommittee. Wald is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), has served as a Health Promotion Policy Expert (HPPE) for the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), and is a reviewer for the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing.
