Profile
Dr. Whiteley’s research interests are focused on theory-based interventions to promote healthy behaviors such as physical activity, weight management, and smoking cessation, particularly for women and adolescent girls. Her interests have an emphasis on print, phone, and Internet-based programs that allow for easy dissemination and a higher impact on public health. Dr. Whiteley has given workshops on health behavior change to community organizations such as the YMCA and the All Girls Sports Festival Sponsored by the Recreation Division of Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF).
