Clearance Requirements
Each student upon entering NU226- Introduction to Nursing Practice must submit the following clinical clearance items in order to begin their clinical experience:
- Three vaccinations of Hepatitis B or a positive titer
- Two vaccinations of measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) or a positive titer to all three diseases
- Tetanus booster within the last ten years valid through the entire semester
- TB test or results of last chest x-ray if positive valid through the entire semester (negative TB test annually)
- Positive varicella titer
- CPR certification at the healthcare provider level valid through the entire semester
- Copy of health insurance card (annually)
