This course explores the theoretical and methodological underpinnings of contemporary psychology from a historical perspective. It provides a broad overview of psychology's development as an independent discipline, and of the development of the various sub-specialities in the field. By examining intellectual antecedents and underlying assumptions, the course seeks to evaluate the significance of new movements and methods.
