Instructional Strategies for All Young Children
Description:
This course allows students to integrate understandings from their academic discipline backgrounds in their relationships with children and families. Students strengthen their understanding of developmentally effective approaches to designing, implementing, and evaluating experiences that promote positive development and learning for all children utilizing a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach. Students understand the central role of play in the education of young children. A 10 hour field experience provides evidence of the central role of play in young childrens learning, as well as specific activities that foster early learning.
