Advanced Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Health I
Description:
The primary purpose of this course is for students to develop an understanding of the relationships among physical activity, exercise, dietary intake, and health across the lifespan. The course focuses on gaining experience reading peer-reviewed, scientific literature, and understanding how science is used to guide physical activity and dietary program planning. This course provides an overview of the evidence of the epidemiological association of physical activity and diet with a variety of health outcomes with an emphasis on chronic cardiometabolic disease and cancer.
