Foreign Direct Investment and Offshoring
Description:
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has become an effective strategy to expand international business activities and to optimize the supply chain operations. The growth rate of FDI has consistently surpassed the dynamics of the international trade for the past 10 years. For that reason, todays managers need to master numerous skills needed to plan and manage FDI in the developed as well as emerging markets, across a broad spectrum of industries and in consideration of various organizational and legal formats available. This links the theoretical format with the empirical practical evidence. It is designed and taught from the managerial perspective with the focus on the applied functional decisions.
