Mass Communities in American History: Using Local Resources to Bring the 17-18 Centuries to Life
Description:
This course focuses on the development and growth of Massachusetts cities and town in the period from Early European Settlement through the American Revolution (1620-1789). Primary emphasis is given to understanding the evolving patterns of cultural and socio-economic growth that typified this period. Students will examine these patterns and examine teaching models and strategies for successful implementation in the K-12 classroom. Students will develop and implement a K-12 curriculum unit based on the course concepts and content.
