Description:
Educators will explore the concept of Performance Standards and examine the implications for assessment, instruction, and curriculum. This course will provide educators with structured opportunities to review the ways that assessment and testing methods impact upon learning. Educators will consider their own teaching methods and reflect upon the ways that these methods assist students as they strive to progress through varying levels of understanding. Issues surrounding learning standards, accountability, and assessment will be reviewed as educators identify and reflect upon their own instructional practices.
