Pract/Voc Spec Needs
Description:
In this supervised practicum, each student will be observed two times in a structured classroom observation and evaluation of their teaching ability as it applies to special needs students. The students abilities in implementing IEPs and 504 Plans and complying with special needs regulations and 504 Plan regulations are also assessed.
The observation and evaluation of actual teaching activities and compliance issues are the principle responsibility of the university supervisor. The school-based, cooperating practitioners principle responsibility is to mentor, assist, and provide necessary information to individuals seeking this expertise.
