Computer Applications in Geography
Description:
This course teaches the fundamentals of geographic applications of computers. Topics include components of a computer system and their functions; hardware requirements for geographic applications; operating systems; the cartographic roots of GIS; the structure and creation of geographic data; geographic information systems software for geographic applications; and the uses of computers in spatial analysis and map production.
