American Women in Biography
Description:
This course introduces major themes of womens history and historiography through the biographies of individual women. Biography allows us to examine not only the lives and times of individuals, but also the considerations historians tackle in trying to represent a life, and the difficulties inherent in researching women who often did not leave public records.
