Environmental, Earth, and Ocean Sciences Department

Welcome to the Environmental, Earth and Ocean Sciences Department (EEOS)!  We are the University of Massachusetts Boston's premier interdisciplinary environmental department. EEOS integrates the natural and social sciences to generate and apply new knowledge about the quality of our environment and the sustainable use of its resources.

Our faculty and students' research sites range from local to global, from the health of the Boston Harbor to whale migration patterns in Antartica. Please read our website or visit us in person to learn more about the work we do, and how you can get involved. Welcome!
