Clean Energy and Sustainability (Minor)

Addressing environmental issues will likely be a part of all UMass Boston students' future careers and civic lives.  This might mean increasing sustainability in workplaces, reducing environmental impacts of residences or local manufacturing, or understanding and preparing for the impacts of climate change.

EEOS thus offers two options for undergraduate minors for students seeking to include a breadth of environmental knowledge as a complement to degrees from other departments - a minor in EEOS, and a minor in Clean Energy and Sustainability (CES).

The minor in Clean Energy and Sustainability (CES) is offered through the Clean Energy and Sustainability program.  The minor consists of 6 courses selected from those offered in 6 core areas: 1) Environmental Science, 2) Energy, 3) Environmental Economics, 4) Environmental Policy, 5) Environmental Management, and 6) Environmental Capstone.  (Download Clean Energy and Sustainability minor requirements checklist.)
