MTEL WORKSHOPS: Foundations of Reading, Communication & Literacy, and Mathematics Subtest

The following MTEL workshops will be offered in preparation for upcoming tests.*

 

Foundations of Reading MTEL Workshops

Saturday, 10/24/2009 (in preparation for the 11/21 test)

 

Saturday, 2/6/2010 (in preparation for the 3/6 test)

Saturday, 4/17/2010 (in preparation for the 5/8 test)

*Please note that Foundations of Reading workshops are capped at 20 students. We will place you on a waiting list if the class for which you registred reached its capacity. If you are placed on a waiting list, you will be contacted by a member of the Student Services Office. Registration is requiredClick here to register online for this workshop.

The cost of this workshop is $50 payable by check, money order or cash. If you are paying cash please have exact the amount.Please make checks/money orders payable to UMass Boston (we are unable to take credit cards for this fee). There is an additional $15 fee for the cost of materials. This fee may be paid directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop.

 

Communication & Literacy MTEL Workshop

There are no scheduled workshops at this time.

**All sessions are held from 9:00AM-3:00PM. This is a series of workshops all of which must be taken.


*General Curriculum Mathematics workshops are capped at 25 attendants. We will place you on a waiting list if the class for which you registred reached its capacity. The new MTEL General Curriculum test consists of a multi-subject subtest and a Mathematics subtest. Students must pass both sections of this General Curriculum test.  This set of workshops will provide an opportunity to review the math skills and concepts aligned with the math subtest objectives.

The cost of each session is $50 (payable to UMass Boston by check, cash, or money order). Please note that if you are paying by cash you must bring the exact amount.

These workshops are designed as an overview of important health issues concerning elementary students.Please bring $18 (for cost of materials) with you on the day of the workshop in addition to a bagged lunch or lunch money.  Please come dressed to play!  Wear loose, comfortable clothing and sneakers.
