Dr. Parker is a policy scholar whose work is informed by historical and cultural perspectives. Her research focuses on race, access, and equity in higher education. Her policy analyses focus on states and state systems.
Prior to joining the faculty in 2005, Dr. Parker was a research assistant at the Alliance for International Higher Education Policy Studies at NYU, and previously was Director of Student Life and Leadership Development at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
