CALL FOR PAPERS: Sixth Annual Social Theory Forum, APRIL 8-9, 2009

New faculty joins the Sociology Department: Assistant Professor Melissa Schaefer Morabito

Sociology explores all things related to human beings: class, race, justice, environment, identity, culture. Students learn to use a wide range of research methods to make observations and gather information about the individual and the collective in society, employees and their work settings, patients and health care institutions, criminals and penitentiaries. Our students acquire skills in critical thinking, research and verbal and written communication and pursue careers in diverse fields such as education, health care, law enforcement and government.
