How to Log-In to afrWeb
Logging into afrWeb is similar to how you log in to your UMass Boston e-mail account. The steps are as follows:
- Open your internet browser
- Type in the following address http://afrs.umassb.net/ and click on the “go” button.
- Click on the logo for the College of Science and Mathematics.
- Enter your user name and password. This should be the same user name and password that you use for logging into your UMass Boston e-mail account (See Figure 1).
- The format is:
User name: compservdom\firstname.lastname
Password: Your Microsoft Outlook e-mail password

Once you have entered your information, click “OK” and you will see the afrWeb Main Page for your college. If you enter the wrong information, you may get an error message. If this happens, you will need to open a new browser and go to the website again.

While there are three tabs on your screen (Faculty, Committees, and Administration), afrWeb has one tab that will be accessible to you at this time. This is the Faculty tab. The Faculty tab provides access to the Main menu, Intellectual Contributions (ICs), Grants and Projects, Reporting, AFRs, and Logout. On the Faculty tab, you will only be able to see your individual information, unless you have special access to other names, based on your level in the college or department.
