The Criminal Justice Major

The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) offers a major in criminal justice in collaboration with the College of Public & Community Service. CLA criminal justice majors complete eight core courses (24 credits), four area courses (12 credits) and a 6-credit internship. Students may also choose to minor in crimiinal justice.

The criminal justice curriculum emphasizes such traditional areas of study as corrections, criminology, law, and police, as well as other related areas, including community problems, law and public policy, substance abuse, and youth services.
