Requirements and Recommendations
The first track
Four semesters of Chinese or Japanese language, plus three electives chosen from the list of courses relevant to the program.
For the second track
- One of the following introductory courses:
- Six electives from the list below of courses relevant to the program.
These must include at least two 300-level courses, and no more than
two 100-level courses.
A one-course waiver will be granted to students who complete two semesters of Chinese or Japanese language, or who can show evidence of proficiency in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese.
For students in this track, no course counting toward program completion may be taken on a pass/fail basis. Participants must maintain a GPA of at least 2.0 for program courses.
