First-Year Seminars
These four-credit courses meet part of the General Education Requirement for new degree-seeking students entering the colleges of Arts & Sciences, Management, and Nursing & Health Sciences with 29 or fewer credits. The courses are not open to other students.
New students are required to take one and only one of these seminars -- if possible in their first semester at UMass Boston -- and must register for the seminars through the University Advising Center. The seminars may be taken pass/fail.
