Asian American Student Success Program
The Asian American Student Success Program (AASSP) is funded through a U.S. Department of Education Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) grant.
The mission of the program is to integrate the educational, cultural, and linguistic expertise of faculty, staff, students, families, and local communities to build, assess, and sustain an ongoing, holistic program of activities, services, and research in order to achieve two specific goals:
- to increase college access for Asian Americans who are low-income or first-generation college-goers and for traditionally underrepresented Asian American ethnic populations, and
- to increase Asian American retention, persistence, course completion, and graduation rates.
