Activities
The photographs contained in this section show our HCOP Scholars in their courses, workshops and activities. They show the students learning while enjoying themselves. In their English courses, the students learned how to construct an essay one sentence at a time. In their Biology class, they dissected a frog to understand its anatomy and dissected their lunches to better understand its nutritional value. In Geometry, students created an architectural model of a healthy community, using shapes, angles, and measurements. In Public Health class, students researched health disparities within their communities and reflected on how they wanted their own communities to look. In addition, they attended several guest lectures by health professionals provided by the Center for Community Health Education Research and Service (CCHERS).
