Workplace Training
The University of Massachusetts Boston is proud of the rich culture and diversity of our faculty, staff and students and is dedicated to maintaining a work environment that respects that diversity. To help maintain our commitment to a respectful, inclusive work environment, The Office of Affirmative Action and Multicultural Relations has developed online training programs for faculty and staff. These interactive training resources will help identify, avoid, and report behaviors that violate employment discrimination laws and/or university policies.
All training programs have both audio and visual components and end with a quiz to test your understanding of the subject matter.
Diversity, Discrimination & Affirmative Action (coming soon!)
This program defines diversity and pluralism, discusses the various types of employment discrimination, and describes the university’s affirmative action plan. It also provides resources for reporting discrimination complaints.
Sexual Harassment Prevention (coming soon!)
This program defines the two types of sexual harassment and provides internal and external resources for reporting allegations of violations.
