Forms for Starting a Faculty or Staff Search
When a Hiring Unit determines a hiring need, it needs to get approval from its respective Dean/Director and Vice Chancellor to begin a search. Once the Hiring Unit obtains an informal approval from the Dean/Director and Vice Chancellor to fill a vacancy or to create a new position, it can then work with HR to classify the position, develop salary parameters, etc. It can then complete the necessary forms and begin the formal approval process. The forms required are:"
- Position Release and Recruitment Form
- Request for Exemption from Hiring Freeze (for State- and Trust-funded positions only)
- Position Description Form
- Skills Sheet (for Classified positions only)
Forms for Concluding a Faculty or Staff Search
After working with Human Resources and Affirmative Action to prepare for a search, and then conducting a search, the Hiring Unit completes a search with the following forms:
