Classification
The University uses several job categories to classify positions based on similar levels and scope of duties and minimum qualifications.
Faculty:
employees conducting instruction, research and public service who hold an advanced degree and academic-rank titles
Librarians:
employees engaged in academic, research or specialized library work to provide academic support and who hold a professional library degree
Professional:
employees in administrative, executive or management positions whose primary responsibilities involve work obtained through a formal academic degree program or comparable experience
Classified:
employees who primarily perform academic and institutional support and student service activities
