Childcare and Family Resources

The UMass Boston Early Learning Center provides a welcoming, nurturing, educational environment where children learn to trust others and form lasting relationships with their teachers and peers. Young children are just beginning to understand who they are in the world and how they fit in. The program gives children many opportunities to discover the world around them and actively participate in their own learning.

The UMass Boston Early Learning Center is open year round, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., and closed for official state and federal holidays. The center is licensed by the Massachusetts Office of Early Education and Care to provide care and education for 13 children between the ages of 15 and 36 months, and 48 children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old.

There is a waiting list for admission to the Early Learning Center. Interested parents should download the application form, or contact the Early Learning Center at 617-287-6795. Completed applications should be sent to: UMB Early Learning Center, 100 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston, MA 02125.
