Getting Access to the HR/e*mpac System
Based on your role in your department, certain aspects of your position may require that you have access to the new HR/e*mpac System. These functions, such as timekeeping, completing personnel transactions or viewing personnel data, have been handled on paper in the past. But with the new system, you can access more information online, and even transmit some data online rather than on paper forms.
To gain access, you need to complete an HR Security Access Form (MS Word). Download and complete the HR Security Access Form, and then print the completed form. Be sure that you and your supervisor sign the form, and then return it to the Data Custodian in Human Resources. Once he/she approves the request, HR starts the process of scheduling an introductory training course for you on the new HR/e*mpac System. That will then be followed by some set up work with your access and with your computer, and then a more comprehensive training on use of the system.
