Charles J. Hoff Scholarship
Charles J. Hoff, president of the Hoff Foundation, and former trustee of the University of Massachusetts, credits the education he received at UMass Lowell with "providing the foundation that has enabled me to build a successful career."
The Hoff Scholarship is valued at up to $4,000.00 per year and is both merit and need-based. Need is defined by the results of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The scholarship is awarded to high achieving students to provide recognition for demonstrated excellence at UMass Boston. The Hoff Scholarship program supports many students throughout the UMass system.
Selection Criteria:
US citizen or eligible non-citizen; Massachusette resident
Full-time, matriculated, undergraduate student earning first bachelor's degree
Sophomore, junior, or senior status as of fall 2013. No more than 30 transfer credits, unless from another MA public institution.
Minmum 3.0 GPA
Applicants must have filed a 2013-2014 FAFSA to apply for this scholarship. Students ultimately selected must have a demonstrated need of $4,000.00 or more.
The Hoff Scholarship is valued at up to $2,000.00 per semester and may be renewed for up to six semesters.
Finalists will be invited to an interview in May. Not all students who apply or who are interviewed will be selected for the scholarship.

Grace K. Fey Scholarship
The University of Massachusetts is offering one $1500.00 scholarship to provide recognition of and financial assistance to an outstanding student. The scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore for the 2013-2014 academic year and is renewable contingent upon full-time enrollment reflecting a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Putnam UMASS Scholars Program
The University of Massachusetts is offering two scholarships to provide recognition of and financial assistance to outstanding students. The scholarships will be awarded to sophomore, junior, or senior level students for the 2013-14 academic year.

Charles D. Baker II Scholarship
Established by his grandson, Charles D. Baker IV to honor the memory of his grandfather who, despite experiencing significant hardship in his life, approached each day and each challenge in life with persistence, optimism, and grace. Charles D. Baker II never had the opportunity to pursue higher education but served his country with distinction and ensured that each of his children competed college studies.
