Student Aid:

Faculty Support:

Endowment of a distinguished professorship or chair shows a belief in the values of higher education. It allows the university to recruit and retain the best faculty in the world so that we continue to have the finest teachers and researchers at UMass Boston. An endowed professorship supports the research, salary and expenses of one professor and is the highest honor a faculty member may receive. Donors may name a chair for themselves or an appropriate designee. Donors may express preference for chairs in a given field of study. Other avenues of faculty support could include fellowships and visiting professorships.
