The following features exist within and around the building:
Parking:
The North Lot is adjacent to the building and has ten (10) designated spaces for handicapped equipped vehicles. Near the spaces is a sidewalk with appropriate curb cuts which leads directly to the building main lobby. There are also six (6) spaces in the Lower Level garage (accessible from the North Lot) which provide easy access in times of inclement weather and are located next to our interior elevators for quick access to anywhere in the facility.
Entrances:
There are main entrances on three levels of the building. The Upper Level Main lobby, the First Floor Plaza, and the Second Floor Catwalk entrance. Each of these is equipped with push button openers from the inside and outside of the doors.
Restrooms:
There are twenty-four public restrooms in the building, eight for each gender and eight single user rooms. Each includes handicapped accessible stalls and sinks.
Telephone service:
The Information Desk in the Upper Level Lobby has a TTY phone. In addition, our staff will assist in sending or receiving information from the Massachusetts Relay Service.
Elevators:
Each of the four public elevators in the facility is designed to be fully accessible.
Emergency systems:
In the event of fire or other emergency requiring building evacuation, the public address system includes automated bells, voice instruction, and strobe lights indicating that immediate evacuation is required. For those unable to use stairways, a pressurized stairwell exists in the rear of the building which provides a minimum of one hour of protection and safe access for emergency crews to provide evacuation assistance, if needed.
