Goals for 2006-2007
- Release a campus wide communication regarding our accomplishments for 2005-2006 including the Carnegie Classification Project.
- Develop a plan for what happens after we receive the Carnegie Classification.
- Explore the role the Venture Development Center might play in some community-based partnerships and activities.
- Use the Carnegie Classification report to strengthen and promote the institution.
- With respect to the curriculum, use the report to help identify areas where we need to build and develop an evaluation tool/s that can help us measure outcomes.
- Do some national benchmarking and look for a model of a coordinating, organizing, systemizing center that makes sense for UMass Boston. Secure resources from the Chancellor. Such a center would not only record but support development of civic engagement
