Other Celebrations
There are a number of events leading up to commencement day, including Spring Week, the Senior Ball and Honors Convocations. Each of these celebrations is planned by different offices on campus.
Honors Convocations
Honors convocations for the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) and Graduate Studies will precede Commencement Day. Attendance is by invitation only and if applicable you will be receiving a separate invitation to this event. The remaining colleges will hold convocation as part of the ceremony on commencement day. You may receive a letter of invitation from your college or program if you are eligible to receive an award. If you have any questions or need further information about these ceremonies, please contact your college or program office.

Graduate Studies
The Graduate Studies Spring Convocation Awards Ceremony is by invitation only for the following two categories of graduating graduate students: (1) a hooding ceremony for all doctoral students who received their degree in December 2012, will receive their degree in May 2013, or will receive their degree in August 2013; and, (2) the awarding of books and certificates of achievement to selected graduating masters students.
