UMass Boston Confers 2,737 Degrees and Certificates at 40th Commencement

Boston, Mass. The University of Massachusetts Boston will award 2,737 diplomas and certificates at the celebration of its 40th commencement to be held on Friday, May 30 on the Campus Center lawn, UMass Boston, 100 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston MA 02125.

The following degrees will be given to 1802 undergraduate students:

• Bachelor of Science degrees
• Bachelor of Arts degrees

The following degrees will be given to 935 graduate students:

• Master of Education
• Master of Arts
• Master of Science
• Master of Business Administration
• Doctor of Philosophy
• Doctor of Education
• Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study

Faculty achievement awards will be presented to 5 professors:

1. Chancellor’s Distinguished Service Award
2. Chancellor’s Distinguished Scholarship Award
3. Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award

Other awards to be bestowed at commencement include four honorary degrees and the John F. Kennedy Award for Excellence to a graduating senior. Rev. Gloria E. White-Hammond will deliver the principal address.
