Baifeng Sun brings a wealth of teaching experience to her role as associate director of the prestigious University of Massachusetts Confucius Institute. She enjoyed 13 years of teaching at the middle school level in China and 5 years teaching primary and middle schools in Milton and Cambridge, MA. Her passion matches the institute’s mission to educate the world about Chinese culture and the Chinese language. Baifeng facilitates rich, cultural exchange between the U.S. and China in collaboration with educational counterparts in Beijing. Since 2004, she has developed dozens of ground-breaking programs at the sixth Confucius Institute established in the U.S. and the only one in Massachusetts.
Baifeng earned her bachelor's degree in applied linguistics from Beijing Foreign Studies University, her master's degree in business and management from Cambridge College, and is now a doctoral student in the Leadership in Urban School Program at UMass Boston’s College of Education and Human Development.
