Liberia Higher Education Training Program
During the summer of 2011 CPDD Visiting Fellow Conzolo Miglozzi conducted a teacher training program at the University of Liberia in Monrovia. He and his wife Kara Lunden working with in cooperation with the Canadian NGO Academics for Higher Education and Development created an innovative program directed at faculty at the national university. The program was widely praised by the students and caught the attention of the Liberian Ministry of Education which wants to expand on it in 2012. Conzolo is a recent graduate of the graduate International Relations Program at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
