Financial DistrictUMass Boston is located only three miles from downtown Boston, which you can get to very easily by private or public transportation (UMass Boston even has it's own stop on the MBTA Red Line).

Boston is the ultimate college town. The city is a hub of cultural, educational and social activity, yet it's small enough to navigate on foot. There are always hundreds of things to do and see. We thought about providing you with a sampling of activities, but thought you would rather have access to info about a wide variety of options. So, we're providing you with links to Boston area guides that have listings of tours, arts, entertainment, sporting events, cultural activities, restaurants and more. Knowing that most college students don't have much of a discretionary budget, we're also providing you with a list of places you can go or things to do that are free.
